During a visit to the Admission and Registration Hall
Al-Rifaie: Applications reached 5794, admission process continues till 29 July
KU President, Prof. Abdullah Al-Fuhaid visited the Admission and Registration Hall (Zain) on Tuesday 20/7/2010 at Shuwaikh Campus. Dr. Al-Fuhaid was accompanied by Secretary-General, Dr. Anwar Al-Yatama, Assistant Dean for Support Academic Service, Prof. Ahmad Al-Manes, Director of Public Relations and Information, Faisal Al-Maqseed, Acting Director of Department of Security and Safety, Qais Al-Toura.
Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Muthana Al-Refaie, Advisor at Deanship of Admission and Registration, Msaed Al-Dakhel and Director of Admission Department, Nada Al-Mutlaq Received them.
KU President, Prof. Abdullah Al-Fuhaid, highlighted that this visit aims at checking on the admission and registration process, in light with what has been raised in the newspapers about some problems between students. Dr. Al-Fuhaid pointed that employees at the Deanship of Admission and Registration organized the work to the full potentials. Al-Fuhaid denied rumors raised recently through different media. Al-Fuhaid also praised efforts performed by all employees at the Deanship of Admission and Registration to present the best service in order to give a good image about KU to new students and their parents.
Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Muthana Al-Refaie, said that the current registration mechanism provided the proper environment for employees at the Admission and Registration Hall and students as well. Receiving applications will continue for the academic year 2010/2011 till Thursday 29/7/2010 according to the timetable, Al-Refaie noted.
Al-Refaie said that applications received till now reached 5794, in which 901 were admitted immediately. Announcing admission results will be in the beginning of August, where sms will be sent to the students to specify the registration dates for the first semester.
Admission and Registration process is done according to the plan, Al-Refaie added. Al-Refaie indicated that coordination between KU Secretariat-General and Department of Security and Safety and Deanship of Students were organized to control the process inside and outside the hall. University administration visit motivates and encourages employees for more efforts, Al-Refaie added.
